I LOVE PIADINA
About This Spot
Walking into I LOVE PIADINA along Salerno’s scenic Lungomare Trieste, you immediately sense a relaxed and welcoming rhythm. This is a place where the day slows just enough to enjoy simple, hearty flavors without rush. The blend of locals chatting at outdoor tables and the gentle hum of foot traffic from the nearby waterfront sets a casual yet lively mood, inviting you to settle in and savor the moment.
The atmosphere here strikes a charming balance between neighborhood comfort and seaside lightness. Whether you find a spot inside amongst warm, rustic details or choose to watch the sunset from the terrace, there’s a genuine ease in the air—like meeting friends you haven’t seen in a while, wrapped in the smells of freshly baked piadina and the soft pop of crisp-fried bites on the plate.
Menus come alive with vibrant, authentic ingredients; soft, thin piadinas layered with local cheeses, cured meats, and fresh vegetables, alongside tempting small plates that invite sharing and conversation. The experience feels grounded in Italian food traditions but beckons with a contemporary casualness that makes each bite feel both special and familiar.
Service here gently mirrors this spirit—friendly and thoughtful without ceremony, welcoming visitors from near and far with a nod and a smile. It’s a place where language differences fade into the background, replaced by the warmth of hospitality and shared appreciation for good food and company.
For those exploring Salerno’s historic heart or simply seeking a pause by the sea, I LOVE PIADINA offers more than just a meal—it’s a space for quiet joy, where flavor and atmosphere meet effortlessly to shape a memorable local moment.

Very nice place! We were a party of twelve people but this place had room for all of us. Very tasty appetisers and salads. Also ordered a lot of Aperol Spritz and while it took a while they were good. Our waiter seemed new but was very nice and welcoming. Shout out to the waiter!!

Lovely place for dinner. We sat outside to catch the sunset. Very friendly atmosphere although we couldn't speak Italian and they couldn't speak English.

Great little spot a couple blocks off the main route between the train station and port. They had multiple fresh baked dishes in addition to the regular menu. They gave us the last slice of zucchini lasagna to share at the table and it was absolutely delicious. Very fast and friendly service. Highly recommend!

“Today, we found a fantastic place in the historic part of Salerno, right on Piazza della Concordia. They have indoor and outdoor seating. The piadinas are not just tasty; they use top-quality ingredients. I recommend trying the crocche with a gooey cheese center and arancini. The staff, including Zia Cristina, Alexia, and Luca, the owner, are very friendly and welcoming. What’s even better is that the prices are quite reasonable, with piadinas startling at 7.00 euros

This is an exceptional place where you can try local food in the best possible way. The host was especially kind and welcoming. We were a group of two families (4 adults and two children) and we had amazing breakfast here for three consecutive days during our stay in Salerno. All recommendations…

The owner was so nice and inviting. We arrived before the kitchen opened and had a beer. We watched as the fresh buffalo mozzarella and ricotta cheese was delivered. Then the owner brought us a taste of whims which are fried balls of various ingredients…all so good! Then we were served mozzarella with the best tomatoes every and ricotta and ham, all amazing and delighted our pallets!!

What a lovely spot! So sad we only discovered it on our last day, I would’ve eaten there every single day if we’d known earlier. The food and drinks were absolutely delicious, and the host was so charming, kind, and friendly. Such a warm and welcoming place. Truly one of our favorite finds of the trip!

Very good food, nice staff and reasonable prices! I had the crunchy chicken piadina and it was very tasty. I totally recommend this place!
